Anna Maganini

Anna Maganini is Latina through her mom, a salsa-dance-loving Panamanian. Her dad was a Chicago Italian with Mafia connections (not really Mafia, but she likes to fantasize). From the Maganini ancestors – a legacy of macaroni factories from Chicago to Seattle. From the Jimenez side, a Spanish gramma who married an Indian in the steamy Panama jungles. Italian American dad seeks adventure in the Panama jungle, marries mom, and Anna was born. She grew up in the Canal Zone, Panama, an American oasis in the middle of the jungle. Lots of beaches, sunshine, palm trees, jungle monkeys, Panama Red, and Carnival time.

Anna received a B.A. in Dance and English Lit, and a Masters in TV Broadcasting. She worked as a TV reporter for many years before moving to Los Angeles 6-7 years ago, where she caught the acting bug.

Anna’s TV credits include a recurring co-star role on “Dexter”, as well as co-star roles on “Medium”, “Numbers”, “The West Wing”, “Close To Home”, and day player roles on “Passions” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (where she’s done a few comedy skits).

Anna has also done a few independant and student films, and she recently got a part in “Terminal Trap”, a movie starring Elliot Gould, currently in pre-production.
