    When a strange vision of murder sends him to a small town to investigate, Dr. Xander Crowe discovers that Wormwood is no ordinary town. Secrets lurk within every resident, from the innkeeper to the town librarian to the waitress at the diner. The seemingly idyllic surface of the town hides a mystery unlike anything he’s ever experienced. Navigating through this tiny, isolated town in the foothills of Northern California, Crowe finds himself drawn into a web of dark conspiracy, strange romance, and arcane mysticism. And now, as Crowe begins to unravel the mystery at the heart of Wormwood, he finds that his very presence there may not be a coincidence at all…

    Wormwood
    is a weekly, serialized mystery that will be distributed via podcast. Each week, listeners will be treated to a quirky ensemble drama with elements of supernatural horror and mystery, told in short, suspense-filled installments. With its strange, small town setting and tragic lead character, Wormwood is designed to appeal to fans of Twin Peaks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hellboy, Supernatural, The Sandman, and Hellblazer, as well as the works of writers like Clive Barker, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, and HP Lovecraft.

    Wormwood is produced by Habit Forming Films, LLC, a dynamic film production company dedicated to producing uncompromising works of entertainment outside of the traditional Hollywood studio system. Habit Forming Films’ first film, Bad Habits, recently won a Remi Award in the original dramatic short film category at Worldfest Houston International Film Festival 2006. Bad Habits also screened at the Sacramento International Film Festival, where actor Jack Sway took home a Best Actor award. Habit Forming Films has also produced The Long Road, a short film, which will screen at the Hollywood FAIF Film Festival, and has just wrapped principal photography on The Hollywood Informant, a black-and-white noir short produced in association with Geeworld Studios.
