Tiffiny Whitney (Staff Writer)
Tiffiny Kaye Whitney was born in Bountiful, Utah on December 16, 1983 and raised in various towns along the Wasatch Front with her mother, sister, and maternal grandparents. Always a child with an active imagination and a motor-mouth, she spent much of her time in school writing creatively, participating in drama, and generally kicking butt in impromptu debate. After winning 1st place in the event her senior year of high school at the state level, she received a full-ride scholarship to Southern Utah University in 2002.
Unfortunately, soon after moving to Cedar City, Utah for college, Whitney realized that red rocks and lizards simply weren’t as enjoyable as originally anticipated. Forfeiting her scholarship, she transferred to the University of Utah to receive one of the most fun, albeit, most useless degrees possible—Film Studies.
After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Utah in 2005, Whitney moved to sunny Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in writing. She currently resides in Los Angeles, passing the time by writing, reading, and spending two hours a day in traffic commuting to and from her day job as a deceptively sunny-dispositioned receptionist for a fitness company.
