  1. i waited until episode 11 came out to listen again. i really like hearing 2 or 3 episodes back to back, for effect. it sounds amazing! the sound quality is steadily improving, as well as the casts’ confidence in their characters.

  2. The cast has really inhabited their characters, and it’s an immersive experience to listen to each episode because of it. It’s great how everyone is able to roll with the drama and the horror and the occasional bits of creep and oddness that rears up from time to time. That confidence makes writing the episodes so much fun. Great job, everyone!

  3. Very well done. I’m scratching my head over that dream sequence, but I love it. It’s actually kind of sad. Poor Jimmy. Wow, on Lemora and Crowe. Now that’s a scene! Those two are spectacular together. Also good to hear the muddy man return. Never got a chance to get to know you, Chuck. But you’re all bastards for killing off Mr. Calendar. He could’ve been a regular somehow. So, I’m raving, but that’s only because Wormwood is damn good.

  4. I just had to say that I love this episode and Wormwood in general. The amount of time and effort put into the show really does reflect the quality, and this audio drama is definitely one of the best available on the web. Thanks for all your hard work, an keep ’em coming!

  5. This is some compellingly weird stuff. After listening to everything to date, I can’t wait for the next episode after this one.

  6. Best thing online in years! Seriously. This is going to be huge. I’m still a bit confused, but I can tell you’ve planned it all out and it will make sense soon.

  7. I really love this show. I just listened to all 11 episodes in a weekend. I love the TwinPeaks inuendos–keep up the great work!

  8. At the risk of hyperbole, I want to chime in and say that I’ve listened to all of the episodes over the weekend, and I must say that Wormwood is not only on par with the classic radio series of yesterday but also the best on television today. This is fascinating stuff, and everyone from the writers to the actors and technicians are doing wonderful work. This episode is disturbing, to say the least. Fantastic!

  9. Great job everyone! This episode had some great stuff in it…I enjoyed the dream sequence, and the moment with Lemora and Crowe was very, unusual.

  10. I’ve just discovered wormwood and it is generally superb and showing improvement with each episode. Acting is in the top of what I’ve heard on the web, professional or non. One thing you could try though is a little better production level. Don’t run your levels into clipping. Try recording a little quieter when putting the episodes together, then use a gentle compression utility from whatever audio suite you use to reduce the difference of loudest to softest a bit. I listen in a car and sometimes if I set the quietest parts so I can hear them, the loudest parts are clipped and rattle the windows. A 1.5 : 1 or 2:1 compression would be the most needed. Thanks for the excellent work!

  11. What on earth is that tapeworm thing? You’re all downright scary people. Pretty creative, too. How does one get on the writing staff?

  12. I want to thank everyone for posting comments. We do have a few audio recording details to smooth out, and we’re continuing to refine our production. Season One has been a real learning experience telling an elaborate audio story, but we love it. And as always, your feedback is much appreciated. So keep the comments coming… and if you’re into Wormwood, spread the word!

Don’t forget to check back for Episode 12 later…

  13. Dan G.: Thanks for the advice! As Jeremy said, we’re still working on it, and we appreciate the feedback. Krista: glad you love the Twin Peaks homages — one of my all-time TV faves! Donna: All Writing Staff Initiates must do an elaborate ritual involving a tapeworm. It’s really pretty gross.

Thanks everyone for the comments, and tell all your friends about Wormwood!

  14. From your local Sheriff (and assorted others): Thanks to everyone for your comments. As actors, we always respect our critics (both good and bad) and wish we could have all of you there to see the process of creating this marvelous production. We love doing this, and look forward to more bizarre and weird happenings in the future. Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell everyone…it’s just gonna get stranger as the weeks go on. Again, thanks to all of you for the feedback. Welcome to town!!

  15. I have been listening to the podcasts and I am so glad I found them in October! They make for GREAT spooky listening. I have been telling everyone to tune in.
